One issue I'm facing is that I expect my tastes and experiences aren't quite what you'd consider commonplace. That's a problem if I want to build something that appeals to the everyman.

That sounds like my father. The part about building himself up from modest means to riches, at least. His success was something he was always proud of.

Younger, by 4 years. You know, he's 33, but I still think of him as this snot nosed little kid I need to take care of.
